We ship all our products at their freshest directly from Japan. It might make the delivery a little longer, but we don’t want to compromise on quality. Just the same way we don’t want to compromise on health.

I am caffeine sensitive, how much matcha should I drink?

Rise Matcha is natural and safe but contains a high level of caffeine (about 70mg per 2g of matcha). Fortunately, Rise Matcha as compared to a coffee contains polyphenols which tend to slow the release and effect of caffeine over the day. If you are sensitive when drinking coffee, we recommend you to start with small amounts of Rise Matcha to see how you react and slowly increase it as you feel comfortable.

How much caffeine is too much caffeine?

It's just like coffee. Moderate consumption of caffeine has generally protective health benefits. However, adults should not drink more than 500mg of caffeine per day. A drink of matcha (using 2 g of matcha powder per cup) gives you about 70mg of caffeine. So we recommend to not exceed 7 to 8 glasses of matcha per day.

I have a sensitive digestive system, can I drink Rise Matcha on an empty stomach in the morning?

Yes, you can. But just like coffee, you might want to have a little food in the morning beforehand. This helps avoid a feeling of stomach acidity.

How to store and keep Rise Matcha?

Keep your Rise Matcha in a dark, cool place (under 10°C [50°F] is best) and well sealed (your fridge is best). Your Rise Matcha worst nightmares are: sunlight, moisture and heat (basically it hates spending time at the beach). Overtime, these conditions oxidize your Matcha which will affect the taste and health benefits of its nutrients.
